The Big Tyre

The Big Tyre in Kurnell was designed as the new headquarters for Tempe Tyres. The 59,000 sqm site was planned to accommodate a six-bay warehouse operating 24 hours a day, supported by 149 car spaces, 25 bicycle spaces, staff amenities, and a takeaway restaurant. While the warehouse adopted a generic modular shell sized for tyre storage and distribution, the connected office and ancillary spaces were conceived as an architectural opportunity to express the company’s identity as a tyre distributor.
