8 Hyam Street is a Co-living proposal in Nowra that provides accommodation for essential workers through a build-to-rent model of compact studios paired with generous shared amenities. Arranged around a central courtyard, the plan maximises natural light, ventilation, and social connection.
An integrated landscape and water strategy underpins the design: the building is raised on an elevated slab, allowing natural overland flow paths to continue beneath while resilient service zones align with Shoalhaven’s flood-risk guidance—enhancing local amenity and supporting local flood management.
